In recent years, there's been an increasing amount of women climbing the corporate ladder or becoming their own boss by starting a profitable business. And although percentages are higher than the 1980's of women breaking the "glass ceiling", women are still facing career roadblocks today.

Whether you are trying to change your finances, improve your health or change career paths, you must operate differently to achieve better results. If you are used to doing the same routine you will receive the same outcome. Therefore, start that blog, go for that promotion, and take a leap into something new!
2. It Gives You a Chance to Prove The Naysayers Wrong.
Show the world that you are more than just an assistant, educator, mom, manager or friend. If you have to learn new skills or take courses, go for it. Show the world and most importantly YOURSELF that you can take on tough tasks, negotiate, manage, and operate at a higher level.
3. You Will Inspire Others.
Do you have a role model or mentor that you look up to? Were you inspired by their success story? You may or may not know it, but someone out there is rooting for you to make history so that they can be motivated to do the same.
4. Fear of the Impossible Will Disappear.
According to Forbes.com "Women don't ask for more and undervalue their talents and resist the technical stuff" Does that manager or director position scare you? Do you think that it is impossible to achieve? When you strive for greatness no matter what, you can accomplish the impossible. And once you do, you'll probably say to yourself "wow, I did it!" As a result, fear of the impossible will disappear as you take on and achieve things you thought were far-fetched.
5. Aiming to Break the Glass Ceiling Will Expand Your Skills.
The more skills and experience that you'll develop, the more valuable you will become as a corporate professional or business owner. The amount of career opportunities will also increase. There's no stopping you now!
