Appearance is EVERYTHING. Use high quality professional photos when you are posting on your website. Save up and invest in a photographer or a great camera. If other businesses or brands would like to advertise their products and services on your website, request that they send high quality photos. We live in a visual word and in some cases, a potential client might purchase a product based on looks alone. Also, depending on your target audience, choosing the right colors for your website is just as important. Make it look appealing according to who you are pursuing as long-term clients or customers.

2). Content.

Create content that is valuable, and easy to read. The majority of individuals’ attention span is very short so create content that will add value to them while using simple language. Stay away from using too much JARGON. Jargon is a specific language or term(s) used in particular fields of work. For example, someone in the medical field can write an article about heart surgery using medical terms that the average person would not understand. Break it down into laymen terms. Too much confusion can stir away a potential client. Another important thing to remember when adding content to your website is to always check for spelling and grammar errors.

3). Navigation.

Your website should be easy to navigate through. If it’s too hard to search for something or everything on the website looks scrambled, people will lose interest. Make it easy for your customers to click on a button or photo where it can lead them to the page or information they are looking for.

4). Stay Up To Date.


Stay relevant and up to date with your products, services, blogs, and articles. Stay ahead of the game and try to update information on your website at least once or twice a week if not every day.


5). Add a Pop-Up Form


Adding a subscription box to your website will help build your mailing list. Add the box to your “Home” page so that it can be one of the first things people will see when visiting your site. Another great way to engage with your audience is to add a Pop-Up form that will allow people to opt in and subscribe to your website. Schedule the pop-up form to appear at least 20-30 seconds after someone visits your website. This will allow potential clients to familiarize themselves with your products and services and can prevent them from clicking that “X” button so quickly.
