Being Beautiful Without Breaking the Bank

Real beauty goes beyond make-up and fashion. It has nothing to do with any of those things. Real beauty begins with self-love and is manifested through confidence. If you want to go beyond the belief that beauty is only a look and start treating it as a lifestyle, here are some simple strategies that I use to live boldly and let my natural beauty shine through.

Love yourself: You are you for a reason. The faster we can do this, the easier it will be to

recognize our beauty. Those things that make you unique also make you beautiful. Don’t hide them, don’t shy away from compliments, and don’t downplay your greatness. Embrace your uniquely beautiful qualities and love what makes you.

Take care of yourself: You can interpret this phrase in a lot of ways, but fundamentally we must treat our bodies like the temples they are. Eat well, exercise, drink water, and get plenty of rest. Be knowledgeable about your health and proactive in making decisions that will help keep you healthy. Remember, a healthy body is a beautiful body.

Invest in yourself: You deserve it! Learn a new skill, travel, pick up a hobby, or join a social

group. Whatever you’ve wanted to do, now it the time. Find something that you love, to help

relieve the everyday monotony of life. Make an investment in yourself that pays you back 100%. Don’t spend your life living for someone else or by someone else’s rules. Take the time to invest in yourself, and you’ll be much happier for it.

Resist negativity: Change your mindset, and you’ll change your life. Most people are wired to focus on the negative. Resist the draw of pessimism and watch how things change. We tend to limit ourselves with negativity. Optimism opens doors and brings great opportunities. The next time you have the urge to see the glass as half empty, resist it, and watch how quickly it fills up.

Be confident: Why not you? I had to ask myself this question when beginning this journey.

When I realized that I was the only thing holding me back, I decided to get out of my way. Fear is a trap; don’t get stuck there. You are just as deserving as the next person. The thing that holds us back the most is a lack of belief in ourselves. We should be our biggest cheerleaders. If you can’t see how great you are, how do you expect others to see it? A little healthy confidence goes a long way. Hold your head up high and know your worth.

This adjustment is not a one-step process; I employ these strategies daily. Continually affirming these truths makes it a lifestyle. Exhibiting love, care, and confidence cost you nothing. Allowing positivity and pouring into yourself opens the door for endless opportunities. Others will acknowledge your true beauty when you truly knowledge and accept yourself. You are beautiful. Accept that truth and walk in it boldly.
